Meet Dr. Temple

Dr. Aja Temple is a fully licensed clinical and educational psychologist and owner of Temple Behavioral Health PC. 

Dr. Temple is a Michigan native who received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to earn both her Master’s degree in School and Community Psychology and Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology at 

Wayne State University.

Dr. Temple has been a practicing mental health clinician and professor for nearly 20 years. She began her work in school-based settings, where she provided psychological, educational, and mental health assessments/services to children and their families. In 2014, Dr. Temple went on to establish her private practice, where she currently offers assessment to children, teens, and adults, as well as supervision to local clinicians-in-training.

Nationally Certified School Psychologist, actively certified since 2007.

Adjunct Faculty, Michigan School of Professional Psychology.

Pediatrics Instructor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. 

Pediatric Psychologist with the Beaumont Center for Human Development

School-based clinical internship with children and adolescents completed at the Hawthorn Psychiatric Center in Northville, MI.

Clinical Internship with adult populations with the

Community Mental Health Center of Washtenaw County.

Member, American Psychological Association.

Member, Michigan Association of School Psychologists.

Member, National Association of School Psychologists.
